AN EXPANDING UNIVERSE
Axtlan is an adult science-fiction universe where light, climate, memory, architecture and power belong to one chain of consequence.
ONE WORLD · MANY FORMS
Axtlan brings together expansive lore, narrative, concept art, original music, connected systems and a game in development. Each medium opens a different scale of the planet.
Skies, oceans, cultures, substances, ages and conflicts that all belong to the same world.
Years of visual development shaped into characters, architecture, vehicles, objects, scenes and prints.
Official soundtracks translating factions, regions and planetary pressure into a distinct sonic identity.
An Axtlan game is in development as another expression of the same world and its consequences.
Each format reveals another scale of Axtlan, from daily life to its largest conflicts.
XIXICOR · CREATOR OF AXTLAN
Axtlan was never just a setting. It was an emotional architecture.
Axtlan stayed at the back of my mind long before it had a name. It formed through images, atmospheres, systems and questions about ruined beauty, pressure, survival, contradiction and the strange dignity that remains after life has already taken too much.
By nature and by trade, I am a developer. I am drawn to systems, construction, reconstruction and to understanding how things fail and what can be built from the fragments.
Axtlan was never just a setting. It was an emotional architecture: a place where collapse is not an ending but a condition of existence; where systems may outlive the people trapped inside them and beauty may still persist within damage.
The world is built through structure, pattern, iteration and consequence. It had to work as a world before it could speak as one.
XIXICORXIXICOR · CREATOR OF AXTLANINTRODUCTION TO THE WORLD
Axtlan did not begin as a product or an isolated atmosphere. It accumulated until it became a world that needed shape, language and history.
01PRESSURE
Axtlan began as an accumulation of images, atmospheres, systems and questions that would not go away: ruined structures, hostile light, survival under pressure, institutions continuing long after they stopped serving the people trapped inside them and the strange dignity that can remain in places already marked by damage.
It did not arrive all at once. It accumulated, piece by piece, image by image, feeling by feeling, until it became too coherent to ignore.
The fragments began to recognise one another. An image called for a story, a story called for music and every answer opened another part of the world.
02CONTRADICTION
Axtlan is brutal without being empty, wounded without being lifeless and severe without collapsing into spectacle. It is concerned with endurance, adaptation, memory, pressure and the forms of meaning people continue to build inside unstable conditions.
It is not a setting built on a simple apocalypse or decorative darkness. Environment, social order, ritual, violence, beauty and survival exist inside the same frame; none can be understood in isolation.
There is grief, but also ritual; oppression, but also adaptation; ruin, but also beauty. That beauty matters precisely because it is not guaranteed.
03CONTINUATION
What people inherit is not stability but continuation. The world did not break in one clean instant: it degraded unevenly, violently and over a long time. Systems outlived their usefulness, routes replaced certainty and survival became practice before it became philosophy.
Axtlan is not about the immediate moment after collapse. It is about the habits, disciplines, structures and identities shaped by living so long inside damaged conditions that adaptation itself becomes culture.
Ruined worlds become meaningful because someone is still inside them: carrying, building, grieving, adapting and still trying to remain human.
04IMPRINT
Axtlan has its own history, geography and memory. A decision made on one coast can alter a distant route, and every culture interprets those marks through its own experience.
You do not need to see every map to feel the roads continuing beyond the page. Depth appears in what a person fears, inherits or must do to get home.
That is why the stories stay close to life: hostile light, uncertain ground, old machines and the small rituals that let a person remain whole.
This is not a world about the end. It is a world about everything that continues after.
BENEATH SEVENTEEN SUNS
Axtlan lives beneath seventeen suns. The sky changes with place and hour: sometimes only a few lights rule the horizon, sometimes glare washes the land flat, and true darkness is rare. People build routes, homes, rituals and laws around what the sky may do next.
The coloured lights follow the seventeen suns. The red path belongs to Axtlan: a closed, uneven rosette around the centre they all share. The animation shows how the system moves, not a particular date.
One turn of the planet does not bring one neat sunrise and sunset. Light gathers from several directions, and the sky can change character before a journey is over.
Glare erases distance. Twilight flattens the horizon. Dusk stains familiar routes with doubt. True night comes only when the light falls far enough to leave deep shadow.
The pressure of so many suns appears in ringing salt fields, obsidian ridges, flooded plains, burning vents, bioluminescent shadows and deserts where compasses lose their calm.
The deep oceans do not live by sunlight alone. Heat, minerals, pressure and the planet’s magnetic unrest feed ecosystems far beneath the changing surface.
Formation turns the calendar into ritual. Sirocco reads it through instruments. The Rats turns it into paperwork. For ordinary people it can be the difference between a safe journey and a terrible idea.
Era IV spans days 78,771 to 105,026: the final quarter of the 105,027-day Solar Cycle. Fronts shift, old certainties weaken, and every culture is being forced to answer.
LORE PREVIEW
The great cultures of Era IV are not aesthetic variations. They are incompatible answers to a world that never stays still.

Formation turns uncertainty into structure. Fortresses, measured routes, recorded authority and ritual geometry attempt to discipline the land.
Its cities feel less like settlements than conclusions. Its vehicles are decisions made steel. Even mercy sounds procedural.
FORMATION · PERMANENCE MADE TERRITORY
Sirocco reads coasts, deltas, flood belts and submerged corridors before they change. It survives through angle, timing and adaptation.
Nothing appears fully finished because nothing on the coast ever is. Competence is already a threat; its warfare arrives by the route nobody thought possible.
SIROCCO · LIFE IN MOTION
The Rats inhabit dead megacities and turn broken procedures into infrastructure, control and production at scale.
They live inside bureaucratic carcasses. Where procedure outlived meaning, they turn confusion into government and make dysfunction scalable.
THE RATS · POWER AMONG THE RUINSEvery culture looks at the same sky and learns something different from it. Formation tries to master it, Sirocco to read it and The Rats to turn its changes into procedure. Ordinary lives unfold between those answers.
NINE CLASSES · ONE LIVING FAMILY
Each class has its own form, behaviour and consequence. Six have been present long enough to carry familiar names; three are only now entering the current cycle. Their appearance can warn you before you get close.
Krek in a seam can store charge, strengthen structures, filter, cut or alter other materials. It is not narcotic by default.
Only crystal grown inside the open crown of an adult Krek Pod carries crown liquor capable of changing the body, memory and perception.
Krek begins as the ground’s response. When overlapping suns, atmospheric filtering, magnetic retention, permeable host rock and cycle timing coincide, seams bloom. Some remain mineral; others root, raise a living pod and open an adult crown.
It does not grow the same way everywhere. The local mix of suns and environment decides where it blooms, what form it takes and whether it stores charge, hardens matter or matures into crown chemistry. An old pod field can turn an entire region into resource, danger and memory.
For Axtlan’s people, Krek is medicine, material, labour, ritual, dependence, frontier and cause of war. Formation tries to contain and record it; Sirocco to read and move it in the right window; The Rats to multiply it and turn it into leverage. No culture remains untouched by its pods.

KREK ALWAYS LEAVES A MARK.A seam can power a city, support a machine or turn a region into a frontier. An adult crown can alter the body, memory and perception. Its value never arrives without a cost.
IN DEVELOPMENT
The game grows from the same world as the stories, art and music. Its places remember what happened in them, its cultures do not see danger in the same way, and choices must leave a mark that feels unmistakably Axtlan.
ONE LIVING WORLDThe game grows from its places, cultures, images and songs without reducing the planet to a backdrop.
New places and characters can arrive without erasing what the world already remembers.
What someone does should change what they meet later, even when the answer is not immediate.
Writing, art, music and the experience develop together so none of them contradicts the rest.
Details are shared when they can hold up, not before.
VISUAL HISTORY
Before a city can have a history, it needs a silhouette. Early sketches search for that shape; finished scenes show what it might feel like to live inside it. The gallery continues with Axtlan’s official works and prints.
